ok well guys i have stone racing headers and have some resonance issues, i will be getting the apexi wsII exhaust system soon and was wondering what that will do to the resonance? does it get louder, quieter, gets rid of it, i mean i heard from many people, but i prefer to hear it from someone who has had it done. Do any of you guys have resonance still with an exhaust? how does it sound? loud? thanks

the exhaust may cover up the sound from the headers thats all - but they shouldnt have any resonance unless they arent perfectly straight or if the bolts are loose any - you may go back to the shop and get the bolts re-torqued, that helped for me.

NO, retorquing the bolts wont do and the exhaust might not cover it if its loud enough

my bolts are very tight and i still had bad resonance (bad 'cause it pisses me off) and i tried tightening the bolts so hard i broke one of the studs (yes the screw and the nut just fell)...i have yet to replace the stud

hey i am fairly new to the board, and i have not yet modded but i want to get headers etc. what do u mean by resonance?

resonance in headers in like a buzzing vibration kinda sound, and with exhaust its just a drone you will hear in the cabin from the loudness, depending if you keep ur stock resonator or not.
