Question for those with a Moonroof Visor

I have been considering a moonroof visor and have read all of the threads pertaining to this subject for the last two years, and most of my questions have been answered but one.

I have read where the visor may cause more noise with the roof closed, so even though it cuts down on wind noise with the roof open, it causes more noise with it closed. Is this true? Is it noticeable? I do not close my moonroof shade, so that is not an option. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

I don't know where you got that info from but mine does not make any noise at all when it is close.

Thanks BlackShadow.

In those threads I was reading, there were just a couple of references this potential problem, but I'm not sure it just wasn't a few making an excuse not to get the visor.

I've had it on so long, I can't say for sure but since I don't notice it I'm going to say no, it doesn't make any more noise with the roof closed. However, it *is* noisier with the roof in the tilt position. But it is much quieter (and less wind) than stock when fully open.

I have never been able to use the tilt feature without a lot of noise at any speed over 30 (obviously most of the time), so that won't be a problem.

I have the visor and I feel the tilt position is useless with the visor on. It make a hell of a lot of noise.

While closed its fine. But I've recently notice my sunroof rattles when closed. Oddly enough I only here it when I have the shade open. Next oil change I will have the dealer fix it since its a known issue.

One issue to consider is the sunroof becomes a little more difficult to clean with that thing bolted on. You need to slide the roof open to get it cleaned good.

I don't think I would have got it but its the wife's car and she wanted it. I really don't think it does anything.

the rattling when the roof is closed but the shade is open is exactly what the problem is. i told the dealership that my roof rattled, and they fixed it easily.
but the funny thing was that all i said was "my sunroof rattles"... and they wrote down "moonroof rattles when shade is open and window is shut". so...they know EXACTLY what the problem is before you even explain.

yep ive had that samwe problem with the rattleing. The thing with the visor is that when you open the moon roof all the way, its really not exposing that much, its only like half cause the visor comes over so far

You should take the visor off when you're washing it. Just don't drop it!
