I just changed my oil yesterday for some Mobil 1 (first time i did myself btw). I was wondering if you guys experienced smoother shifting after putting it in. Im skeptical whether its the oil or its my imagination. Or it might just be the fact that my oil was 4500 miles old and it was the new oil that causing smoother shifting, not the fact that it was synthetic.

nope...the smoother shifts could be due to the fact that you changed your oil...

 

i did not experience a major difference in smoother shifting, but i did experience much better fuel economy, better start up, cooler engine temp and quieter engine.

 

I just did into some mobil 1 synthetic. My engin seems more quiet, accelerate more smooth.... transmission is about the same ... but i can already feel its so much better than the regular oil.
