Question for Supercharged TL-S owners:
I got a quote from a local shop today, 4400 for all parts, labor, and dyno. It only would take them a week to order and two days to install. Only thing I'm sceptacle of is the tranny. Any problems with current users? Price is without the tranny cooler, new smaller battery and high boost pulley. So altogether I'm looking at 4400 + that = 5000 at most. Opinions from owners?

i would not count on the 1 week order time. my personal time was five weeks. CT was out of fan shrouds because people were not returning them for the core charge. maybe they have this ironed out by now. 2 day install is reasonable. the cooler is a must. the hbp is fine with 93 octane, here in CA w/ 91 no way. you might consider the e-manage with the hbp to keep things under control.
now for the big question, your tranny. i asked the dealer to install the sc. it was more $ for the install but they said they would back it up if the tranny failed. it did and they kept their word. my belief was the tranny was going to fail with no mods anyway. the history is clear on this. so, adding the sc did not cause the tranny failure. it possibly quicked its demise. my point is if a local shop installs, your dealer could screw you. better check with them and get it in writing. you could fight it of course and likely win but it would be more time and a hassle. overall, 5K is about right. it is worth it! just cya with the dealer on your tranny.

Well, my tranny has failed once already at 59xxx miles and was repaired under warranty. I guess I should check with the dealer but I'm hoping this 1st failure could be used in my defense should it fail after the blower installation. If you don't mind me asking and i know it varies from vehicle to vehicle, but how many miles did you go through with the blower before it first blew?

Thanks for the info! Anyone else with feedback? I got about 75k on the motor now. I'm just trying to determine fun and more daily power VS. risk and feasibility (including the 5k). Others tell me I should just dump that into my Sti and keep the TL-S the way it is.

Yes, although i should be promoting the TL's, since you have 75k on a 2nd gen, i would go balls to the wall on the sti, unless you're a lady, then i don't know what you should take to the wall...?

That price sounds about right. $3600 for the blower plus $800 for the install seems to be about the norm.
Don't forget you should add at a minimum a fuel pressure gauge. With the fuel delivery upgrades included with the kit, failure of the fuel pressure regulator isn't uncommon.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
I have close to 8k miles on my blower with no real major problems.
