Question for someone who has driven a TL-P AND a TL-S
I swapped from TL-P power steering to a TL-S power steering system.
The steering wheel now locks much earlier than on my original steering rack. I can't turn as tightly when parking and such. Is this just because of the different TL-S steering rack, or maybe I missed something during the install.
Has anyone who has driven both cars noticed this? If you have a TL-S, could you count the number of turns the steering wheel makes from lock to lock?
Thanks

Steering wheels turns, lock to lock:
TL-P - 3.11
TL-S - 2.88
It's about 1/4 turn difference between the two. Check exactly how many turns it takes to move the wheels from full right to full left or vice versa and go from there.

TL-S does actually turn the same distance than TL-p the difference is the spaces in the teeth in the Steering Rack! TL-S turns more at each full clock than the TL-p that's why it locks earlier. This is normal.

I could take a U turn no problem with the TL-P rack, but the TL-S rack has no chance of turning sharp enough. It's like WAY less turning angle even at full lock.

Perhaps I have to drive a TLp more but my TL-S has never been the sharpest turner in the world... I can't for example do a clean U Turn on my street without reversing while my bros Pathfinder can do it on 1 move with no reverse.

My lowered TL does not have the sharpest turning radius either. Surprisingly so.

With the tires pointing straight ahead, is the steering wheel level, and not upside down? Again, with the tires straight ahead, does the steering wheel turn an equal amount to the left and right stops?
