Question on Rotors

Tried the search, but I didn't find what I was looking for...

The question is, when you get rotors that are cadmium plated to avoid the rust, is it just a thin layer that will wear out later on? How does it hold up? Will it just be rust resistant for a year, then just be like the rusty OEM rotors? I was looking at the powerslot rotors on tirerack.com. Just wondering if anyone has heard of them/has experience with their quality. Thanks guys.

i may be wrong but i believe the part that has contact with the brake pad will wear the coating off but the rest will be fine. the part that has the contact with the pad will clean itself the min the brakes are applied
