Question regarding indiglo gauges

Yes, i've searched

I got the gauges from procarparts, my question is, will I still be able to see the warning lights with those gauges? Or does it block all those yellow/red lights?

if it blocks them, then this would suck.

Yea , no problems with them. Got them in my car. You'll be able to see all the lights.

My are only two color (aqua and green). If you get the indigo gauge instead of reverse indigo, most of them are 6-8 color changes (all shades of green/blue).

yeah but, with the regular indiglos all the circles are fully lit, looks too bright and not as classy the as the reverse.

Yeah take out the two screws above the steering wheel. Then dig your nails into the area where you took off the two screws. Then pull the black trim downward toward the steering wheel. Then you can basically go around the trim edge and pull it toward you.

its very easy BUT take your TIME! if you dont you will be pulling it apart to do over. use just enough tape to hold the gauges down, use too much and the needles will rub on the gauges and stick, dont use enough and the same happens (personal experiance)

3M spray would probably work the best. The tape comes with the gauges. Its a clear very thin tape. No idea who makes it. Any other tape would be too weak or too bulky.

Hey, before the install, do I have to disconnect the OEM LED? or they stay on with the new gauges?

Also, what connector do I need to test out the gauges?

You can, but i didnt. I think the oem leds can heat up and cause the adhesive to loosen up. But I dont have that problem.

To test out the gauge you can plug in to any thing that is 12v. I tapped the wires to my sunroof or cruise control switch light. So when the parking light comes on so will the gauges.

You might need a tester to find out which wire it is or maybe you can connect to the indiglo pedals you have.. they turn on when you turn on the lights right?

to connect them get a female spade conector and connect it to the back side of the fuse box to #13. its powerd by the lights.

as for what to use to tape it down, if the kit doesnt come with any tape go find some good 3m double sided scotch style tape. it canot be thick at all. the thinner the better,

you can not see the oem lights thru the indaglo gauges. i did install a toggle swithch to be able to turn off the indaglo gauges though. at night with the indaglo shut off the only thing you can see is the needles lit up
its kinda a bad pic but you should be able to see what i mean

thanx guys for all your info

I've just successfully installed them without any complications. It took me about 2 hours to install and test everything out. Its a pretty easy mod as long as you take your time and of course get great feedback from everyone here that helped me!

Thanx again, it looks nice. peace.
