question on radio-mute for navi

When i used to use my navi and the voice would come on, my radio volume would just dim a little so i can hear the voice. But for some reason now, it completely mutes my radio when the voice comes on. I'm kinda annoyed by it since it kills my music mood so does anyone know how to fix it? thanks.

Check the volume of the voice in the set-up screen. Press the set-up icon down on the lower right by the clock. On the first set-up screen, there is a slider for the loudness of the voice. You may try sliding it left (down) a few notches so it doesn't go so far over the top of your tunes...

The Navi voice doesn't dim any sound. It turns off the front 2 speakers. It sounds "dimmer" because you only here the rear 2 and the subwoofer when the Navi speaks. If you hear nothing when your navi talks, chances are your "fade"control is set all the way on front. Try playing with it, and make sure all of your speakers are on. Let me know if this helps.

Phatty's right on. I forgot to mention that part about shutting off the fronts. Makes sense if you (accidentally) have the fader all the way to the front.
