Question for modded cars

How does the gas mileage change when you put headers, pulleys, intake, cams, ect.......

I am planning on getting megan headers (hopefully in a group buy) and UR pulleys, so I am curious to see what kind of change in gas mileage that you will get. I would appreciate any info

apparently ppl have been getting better mileage with new crank pulley. Ive noticed a gain in mileage from my CAI, dunno bout the exhaust.

If nething id say mileage would increase cuz the car becomes more efficient and pretty much breathes better.

u might find urself sucking up gas like a vaccum b/c ull wanna be flooring it all the time

When I had an 02 Accord I had intake, heager and exhaust and pullys (can't speak speak to the cams) but my gas milage was amazing! Not much different for short commutes but I was able to get 620 miles without filling up on all highway driving.

Thanks,

Joe

It will go up due to better efficiency, then down cuz you'll enjoy them too much like all the rest of us!

yup, I usually get the same but I did get 30mpg on the trip down to Houston for the Christmas break...I dont think you will notice more than a few mpg difference with those mods.

if u want assurance that ur getting a high quality item that will not hurt ur engine, go with UR crank pulley. i think their site is www.unorthodoxracing.com , the ultra S pulley

or u go to ebay and type in V6 Accord and check "engine and components" for pulleys

i got a Megan one for 50 bux, jus waiting to get some money to install

I checked out the pulley on their site....it's $229. What sort of gains would I see for that price......it is worth it?

almost same cost per hp for the intake..."it is worth it?" i'd say, hell yeah!

and YES, gas mileage increases...even if you're foot becomes heavy afters mods. i'm in a suburban area and usually get 21 or 22mpg and i calculate EVERY TIME I FILL UP for like the past 1.5yrs....and i speed and race like hell...just check out the number of racing threads i've started

MPG shouldn't be affected too much with simple bolt-on's. It's when you start running heavy mods and swapping out injectors, and playing with air/fuel ratio that your engine starts chugging fuel.

I've been getting consistently around 23 mpg city/highway combined.
