Question on cleaning front brake calipers

I have just orderd a set of new Rotora cross drilled/slotted front rotors. They should arrive next week. My front calipers have some rust on them and need cleaning.

What do you TL'ers recommend for cleaning and/or polishing them to original standards?

I would consider painting them red but the after market paint jobs I have seen on calipers look amateur and homemade.

Is there a silver paint or cleaning techique you guys know about for calipers?

Thnx
