Question Question About Tint

I have a NBP and im thinking of gettin 35% all around cept on the windsheild.....does anyone got any pictures?

Also...I think i've read something about something on our back window....some polarized thingy? like you see those dots when you were sunglasses......will this make tinting difficult and more money or do all tinting places pretty much know how to do it right without screwing it up?

I have 20% front/rear and 5% rear windshield limo tints. On sunny days with no clouds, when the sunlight directly hits my tints, you can see little dots. I think this is normal for all tints ( well at least limo's ) .. polarized???

Make sure you put the non-metalic tint on your rear windshield. I have mine on and it does not interfere with the radio reception.

I have 20% on the back and 35% all around, dark enough but not enough for cops to bug me. I have not noticed any problems with reception. Oh, and if you have a rear spoiler with the break light, ask the guy to take the center woofer out and tint the WHOLE back windshield and not go around the center light. It makes a huge difference.
I know what you mean with Polarized. I have Maui Jims and they are Polarized, when you look out the tints it have a weird rainbow effect with funky colors and sometimes dots on the window. This is ONLY if you have polarized sunglasses. Regular sunglasses won't do anything.

I got 18% all around METALLIC film. I have Navi and no problems with either Navi nor the radio. I don't think you need to ask to non-metallic tint. That non-metallic tint fades (and some of the cheep stuff turns purple) and worst of all is that the non-metallic tint hardly offers UV protection.

i have 35% all around with no radio reception problems. i think it's more tint manufacturer-specific than metallic or cuz i've read about people with metallic having no issues. just ask the tint shop if their tint is fine with imprinted antennas.

Well if it is a matter of manufacture then I'll let you all know that my metallic tint is Formula One.

Don't do it! Thats way too much silver. I think it would look ugly. Now if it was a different color and not SSM then Id say ok.

i have 20% on all 5 windows...when its sunny outside..the front windows dont even look like their tinted because of the light through the windsheild and trough the windows them selves...and even at night poeple say they cant still see me..i think 35 shouldnt be too bad..people will still be able to see you tho...but it will make the car look nicer still...

btw...can anyone recomend a tint percentage for my windsheild..that would block out light but isnt too noticable..i was thinking either 70 or 50

I've been thinking about doing the front too but not because of sun. 50 isn' t going to do much for blocking the sun. and you can't go darker because it will be noticable. What I do want to do the front for is for UV protection. I'm concerned about added glare though. I talked to my auto tinter and he suggested this film that they put on house windows. It is 72% darkness and it is 99% UV proctection.
