Question about Rotora Rotors

I just recently installed my Rotora Slotted and EBC Greenstuff.....works great...however it makes this "squeakin" sometimes while braking. Could it be because it needs to break in? tnx

I got the same set up as you have and I notice mine sometimes squeak. But it's once on a while. Another thing I'm noticing is a like a humming or "rubbing" noise when I apply the brakes. Anyone have any idea what that's about.

I get the humming noise when almost stopped but no squeaking, (and I didn't use the anti squeak stuff) you can feel the slots gripping in the pedal if you're light enough at a slow speed. One thing to do hear is a light grunt just before a complete stop...

I replaced my irotors with rotora ones since they have warped after 75k miles. I do notice the humming or rubbing noise from the slotted rotors. I only put like 50 miles, hopefully they will go away after the break in. I don't remember if there was this noise when I installed my irotors years ago.

The squealing noise does not originate with the rotors. That noise is from the pads. But you will need some anti-squeal lube on the back of the pads and where it touches the calipers too.

Maybe I'm not getting the squeal because I used the old heat sheilds that were on the oem brakes...?

I get this squeal only at certain speeds while braking lightly. I've tried the anti-squeal as well but that doesnt seem to help. After I tried to rebed them in it doesnt seem as loud as it was before. I noticed when I had stock rotors and ebc greenstuff pads I had no squeal. maybe it is just the combination of these two???
