nice! i spray-painted mine black (about 3-4 coatings) because i think it looks much better that way. as far as rust... dont think it would since it is made for rain gutters, ya? if you want to see how mine looks check out my gallery... link in sig.

btw, just wondering how long did the whole process take you?

I dont have to worry about warping in NY

But, now i want to mesh up the the bumper area too, any ideas of how to attach the 'mesh' to the bumper so it will look nice (without any attachment being seen)?

mmm... think you'll have to remove the bumper and sandwich the mesh between the black plastic holder-thing and the bumper itself, you know what i mean? ask @cur@-TL, i believe he has done this mod that you are talking about on his 99.

cheap and excellent mod, no?

my car color is NBP, so painting black wouldnt look too good, so the color is between the chrome and aluminum, so it doesnt shine too much nor does it hide away. It looks g00d.

Since I have a 00 TL, I installed custome foglights, thats was the only thing i had that kinda stayed in away all the time, lol. But i think it looks alright, i'll take pix the moment i'll go thru a carwash. My car is beyound NBP right now, ,lol

Would look better if it was behind the chrome horizontal line cutting thru the "A" symbol..

i did that for contrast, plus it looks cleaner without that line showing much.

(I tried both ways)

is that the gutter mesh just off the rack at home depot/lowes??
did you paint it at all?

also, how did you attach it to the lower air dam, both in the middle and on the 2 side squares??

for now it is plain. im only experimenting. im powercoating soon, and im thinking of making it very dark grey, i dont want it showing that much.

the sides, the so called squares, if you cut the mesh right, it will stick in there without anything else holding it....it has a little line going around on the inside, which traps/hold the mesh.

the middle, you either can use a very thin silver wire, adhesive tape, or tiny screws.

peace

I was in Home Depot and there were some metal gutter guards. I saw plastic there too.

hey,

I bought it HomeDepo, its aluminum.

the only homedepo i found it at was Erkins St. exit of the belt.
the new mall they've built there.

Its like all the way in the 1st aisle, come with i believe 5 pieces packaged inside. Price is umm, laughable, 7 bux.

good luck on cutting it, watch your fingers

peace
