Question about the keyless remote

I'm beginning to experience trouble w/my keyless remote. More and more it is taking 4,5, 6 or more pushes of the button to get it to work, and a couple of times I gave up and used the key. It seems like this is the case after the car has sat for a long time, like after work, but if I stop shortly after a drive and then come right back out, it works on the first try.

At first I thought it may be the battery and tried to replace it, but they tested the battery and said it was fine, so now I don't know whether it is the remote or the sensor in the car. The car has 70,000 miles on it. Any thoughts?

try buying a new one. My remote was doing that and i jut purchased a new one. Dropping them and just having them for so long will eventually wear them out.

Try open it with your 2nd remote. The problem may not be from the sensor in the car if the 2nd remote works.
