Question about detailing products

I used the swirl remover #9 made by meguiar's, but it seems that my swirls are too deep for them to be all removed by that product. It took out about 50% of them, but the rather deep ones couldn't be removed. I used a foam applicator on my random orbital polisher. I was wondering if meguiar's fine cut cleaner is the step up to the swirl remover, and want to know whether it it more abrasive than the swirl remover? If I used swirl remover and it didn't do the trick, should the fine cut cleaner remove the remaining set of swirls???

thanks

you shouldn't use a buffer for the swirl mark remover, It's meant to be applied criss crossed, cutting perpendicular across the swirl mark

yield2S, totally not true. it is absolutely meant to be done via orbital/rotary.

Fine cut is really only meant to be used with a rotary polisher. I would not recommend using it with an orbital.

I would recommend 3M Finesse-It II Machine Polish if you can't get the swirls out with the #9. It's a bit more abrasive. Just be careful, start out on a slow speed and let the machine do all the work. Do not press down on the polisher or you're gonna be very unhappy with the results.
