question about debadging

I was bored so I thought I'd debadge my tl I had read the diy a few weeks ago but took awhile to actually do it, stupid me I didn't take anything look before I started today, I took the badges off but don't have goo gone or any substance listed in the diy but I used rubbing alcohol on the 'A' my question is, will rubbing alcohol ruin the paint ? It worked really good, I just don't want to continue if it's gonna ruin the paint

i used a heat gun to heat up the badges and then fishing line to floss them out.

with the adhesive, all i had was rubbing alcohol and that worked fine for me. i overloaded my rag with it too and my paint turned out fine...i did wait a few minutes for the trunk to cool first tho since i did use a heat gun

alcohol won't do much to anything its not really an abrassive liquid, you can use it on alot of surfaces and not worry about it.

you will probably have a bigger issuse with the emblems ghosted/burned into the paint from being on for so many years.

I wouldn't think alcohol would do to much damage to the paint if any. Worse case scenario may dull the clear coat. As for the burn in maybe try a light compound then wax, wet sand with high grit then compound and wax as last resort.
