Question Question about carbon fiber

Just wondering if laying carbon fiber sheets is the same process of laying fiberglass sheets? I am thinking about making my own CF engine cover well more of a carbon fiber overlay for it and just wondering if it is as easy as laying fiberglass. Thanks

sorta. You can do simple things but getting it to be proper you really need a vacuum chamber. Ive done some work with it in the past on door panels that were pretty much flat. Getting curves to look right is harder.
