Post Question about the cams Tim's having made.

Are they camshafts or cam gears??? Anyone know?

Cam shafts, if cam gears took this long that would be pitiful.

Besides, the only real advantage of aftermarket cam gears is that they're laser etched so they're adjustable. The weight gain is minimal.

Dont forget this cause I have learned this from quite a few mechanics. After market cam sprockets (gears) are really pointless to buy and install with out haveing oversized cams (the cam shaft). Alot of people have informed me that the cam sprockets will have a minimal HP upgrade with out the oversized lobes to help them out. Just a thought, cause cam sprockets are not that cheap...

I wonder how the cam assembly is like. Is it as simple at unbolting everything and just slapping it in? Maybe should get the Tru-Power pulleys installed while the cam's getting put in.hmmm
