Question

Question

I have tried searching in this forum regarding 'smoked headlights'

because I think the 03' Acura CL's smoked headlights look nice.

I would like to do the same for my 03' Black TL-P.

Can anyone post up some information regarding how to smoke your headlights?

Thanks
Steve

Well, you will have to clear them first in order to get them ready for the blacked out effect. You can search the faq section on how to clear you lights, however I have read here that several members have experienced great results using the oven method. For blacking them out, just tape off the areas you don't want painted and then just spraypaint the rest black.

I don't know if headlight covers exist for our cars, but the oven method is when you put your headlights into the over for about 5-8 mins. I believe to heat up the adhesive. When you remove your lights from the oven, you simply pry the two pieces apart...no fuss, no mess.
