Post Ques for those with video navi, dvd, alpines, etc..

Is it true that you can't watch video's unless you are parked?? I wanted to get a TV tuner and it would suck not being able to watch it while driving. Thanks for any input.

Yes but it can be rewired so it doesn't do that.

With my panasonic all I had to do is ground the parking brake wire, no switches, press depress brake crap. It comes on whenever I want. I would recommend it over the cva1005 (which is discontinued) anyday!

before you drive, you have to perfrom a simple routine with a combination of the brake and a switch with the Alpine system. Trust me, its a no brainer, after you do it once, you'll always know it. After that, you can watch dvd/tv/vcd, anything you want while driving, but i do not advise that, i just let it play and listen to the audio while the video is playing.
