I think he is selling because he can't stand the rattling noises in his car. Is that true eyedrj??

It's a combination of several factors:

1) Scared of HID headlight theft - some dude followed me home last Friday i wonder why
2) Dealers can't fix car defects correctly
3) Too many rattles/squeaks
4) Scared of transmission failure
5) Wife wants SUV

Not that I blame you or anything, but everything you listed above with be a potential problem on any car you buy. I mean, a buddy at work bought a new Mercedes E430 and it had little noises here and there. It just happens. The transmission failure has also been narrowed down to a Tapered Roller Bearing, and before you sell it, you can just check the barcode number under the hood to see if you would even have an issue ( http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...t=Transmission ). For the HID theft, get a shock sensor. I just had mine installed this weekend. Sensor was $11. Now, if you just "knock" on my car the alarm goes off. It won't prevent theft, but I'm better off with the sensor then without. Lastly, the dealer issue.... that's easy, get a new dealer.

Where did you get this shock sensor and does it work with the factory alarm? Please advise.

Check out the link below. Should answer all your questions. If you have more, just PM or email me!!

BTW, it works fine with the factory alarm and took about 15 min. to install.....

he he... that's one way to look at it. I don't believe it's an absolute that if you fall in that serial number range you will have trouble, just that you may. So it's like having an expiration date w/o an exact year.... like May 4, 20xx

I dont kow guys read that post again. What was stated initially doesnt make sense and is being contested now by many. I agree also, if it was that simple a recall would have probably have been done on just the affected trannies, and we would have probably heard of a ton more tranny failures than what we have heard of so far.

I dont care what car you drive, you check on a board like this and you'll see posts about A/T failures.
