Pulley Update

It has been exactly one week since I had my UR Crank pulley and my rotora rotors and HPS pads installed.

For anyone who has been looking at the pulley i would highly recomend it. The gains are noticable and the car feels alot smoother. I used to have a gainy sound/feel on the throttle before this mod and well its just not there anymore. You wont notice much on the low end but once you at around 5000rpm it just bumrushes redline so its a really good feeling!!!

The brakes are also really good. the bite is nice and firm and the car does not take as long to slow down. The only complaint I have so far is the amount of brake dusts the pads generate. I have a set of winter wheels on with some honda hubcaps and they are slowly turning black just for the dust. I can only imagine what my rims would look like in the summer.

Other than that these are 2 really good mods and I would definately recomend them to anyone!

Hey ndawood, do you notice a slight hum when braking from higher speeds when the brakes are warmed up?

The word is (thank you fsttyms1) that this is just a part of life with slotted rotors.

It's not annoying - just different.

I havent actually tried the brakes at high speeds yet as I am trying to take it easy on them for a little while but i will try them out and let you know. In they city I dont notice any noises at all though.

nda, did a very similar setup! got SS unorthodox pullies and rotora rotors with stock pads... Great inprovement on power and would definatly do pullies over headers for now because there is too many cheaper options that haven't been proven and buying pullies is just about guranteed not to have probs vs non-$700 used comptech headers or questionable $300 headers.

I disagree. I picked up a set of Megan headers from another website shipped for $175.00. Even if the welds are bad and they leak, theres no way my engine can get damaged. Chances are I will have no problems and power gains will be much more noticeable then the UR pulleys. Just my

I must agree. The header market for TL's is a little convoluted - but they are the best gain for the $.

the pulley is a great mod but if i had to choose between the headers and the pulley i would definately do the headers first. Yeah they cost alot more but the gains are there to back it up....
