Before you reassemble, consider going to your local hardware store and getting a small set of torx keys or bits. It's probably worth the investment to tighten the torx screws properly when you reinstall everything. Plus you can take apart public bathroom stalls with em afterwards!

Its actually called a security bit or something like that.
Its like a torx bit, but there is a hole in the middle that prevents you from using a regular torx bit.

Then you have to heat it in the oven or a heat gun to melt all the sealant. Then you have to pry apart the housing carefully without bending or breaking anything. Once it's off, the amber reflector simply pops right off.
Buy some silicone sealant and reseal it properly. Otherwise it will leak and condense inside.

I had a hard time finding that same piece when I was installing my 6000k. I ended up going to sears and finding the tool bits there for $20.00.

Make sure you have a buddy to help you out, you'll definitely need help when you pry apart the two halves of the headlight. As for paint, i got paint specifically for plastics so i didnt have to prime it. It wasnt "heat resistant" or anything, but its holding up. and like the other guys said, a T-20 bit will do the trick. I got a set of the security bits at o'reillys, that stuff was expensive too, $20 for a set of like 10 of em. good luck with your project, i think its really worth it and it really sets ur car apart. I suggest getting some chrome turn signal bulbs to complete the look. I still havent gotten around to getting those.

this was the first time i ever did the whole clearing the headlights action. I never really did want to stick my headlights in the oven. personally i like the clear corners without the reflector. but i guess its all on personal preferance.

the whole process took me about 2.5 hours .. and considering i never did it before, i was pretty sat. the hardest part i would say was pulling the first part of the headlight apart. once i got the headlight seperation started everything want smooth..
