Ok, I have been searching the forums for this, but no specific answers to my questions...

I'm going to do the projector mod over the next couple months and I was wondering which projectors are better. The 3G TL projectors or the TSX projectors? Or are they the same thing?

I REALLY would like to have Bi-xenon projectors to retrofit to my car. I loved them on my VW, but I don't see that the TSX had them as an option... but the 3G TL did...

I can get either pair for about $150 then reuse my ballasts with new D2S bulbs.
What do you think?


On the other hand, if I was going to go with a completely different projector altogether (Bi-xenon) what would you go for? Audi, BMW, Infiniti?




(Doing this over a few months cause I'm getting the projectors, then a second set of '02 TL headlight assemblies, so I can still drive while I'm working on the mod.
I'm not made of money so I can't fork out the cash all at once... Then when I finish I also have a second set I can mod and then sell off. )

If you must have bi-xenon, i guess you should get the TL projectors. I will be doing a retrofit soon but i'm doing a different set up With some color modding, and different gasket, the FX/TSX retrofit is even better than the S2K projectors. The S2K projectors are supposed to be the best but wait till you see mine. I have seen the FX/TSX combo and it is pure sex

I just like high-beam xenons. At the moment, I can't really afford to buy a second set of Xenons bulbs/ballasts, so I thought bi-xenon would be the way to go

So your going dual Projectors?
I'd like to see that. Where can I get more info/pics?

I might have to look into that too, seeing how I'll by buying all kinds of parts and then pulling stuff apart! But still, I have to check into another set of ballasts/bulbs... and not too sure I want to do that just yet.

I got time though... I'm not in a big rush.

Well i'm not using 2 projectors. When i said FX/TSX combo I meant the FX35 projectors with the TSX clear lenses.

I think the s2k projectors give you more light on the road then tsx but the tsx has more color than the s2k. I was looking for better lighting than color that's why I picked the s2k. it's all in what you want

Like what others have said... depends on if you want high beam or not. I chose S2k for my car. FX/TSX setup is nice too. But it's not better than S2K... = ) RidinDurty, the pic you see of the comparison between FX/TSX and S2K is kinda misleading. The S2K Projectors is inside the housing, while the FX/TSX is outside of the housing. Therefore, the housing kills some light. If you were to put the FX/TSX inside the housing too and then compare it with the S2K, it's not as bright. But I do agree that the FX/TSX is nice. Just another option if you wanna go with high beams. IMO, S2K is best for Single Xenon, and TL is best for Bi-Xenon. That's just comparing them from there stock form. I think TL with ZKW lense is better than the FX/TSX setup.

ohh, i forgot to mention, TL projectors cost from about 225-270.. TSX go for about 125- 180.. I was going to put tsx in mine until i got my hands on the S2K, so I have the TSX for sale if you are interested.. 160 shipped +PP fees

It's all good, The FX/TSX aren't bad at all. and the light output compared to the S2K are at a minimal difference. In reality they are not that different. Whether its the TLs, S2Ks or TSXs, you win no matter what. Those projectors are sick!
