you can search the forum for pictures. you can only get them custom made, or DIY. It'll cost a pretty penny as well.

^ many will take your money to do so. They are all custom done. One of our vendors makes them. Be prepaired to spend a bit though. Most will only make them with quality glass and projectors and not the cheap ebay shit you might find for other cars.

What exactly are the benefits of a retro setup? Is there a significant increase in output using the same bulbs?

^that's cool, but i'd much rather cut the divider between the low and high beam, and make a circular high beam reflector.

something like this, but something that would actually fit in my 2000

That would take a whole headlight redesign. They can only do with what is there. They cant be moving stuff around do to the shape and design. Some have gone as far as dual projector. Our headlight is limiting.

both of these images are using projectors. this pic only shows comparison between stock projector cutoff to a modified projector setup.

our stock TL headlights do not have such a sharp cutoff like in both of the pics.

our reflective housings really don't have much a cutoff anyway.

is there a difference in the cutoff between stock 99-01 and 02-03, completely different reflector tech used in the two headlights. 99-01 actually look similar too the old square removeable halogen headlights.

Has anyone put the 02-03tl headlights on a 99-01tl? would it be necessary to replace the whole front end or could i just modify some things and squeeze it in there?

Haha no, you have to do the entire front end conversion. Too expensive for what it is IMO.

hey, I'm new a somewhat of a new Acura Owner (about 3 month owner here) I'm interested in putting projectors in my Ack. But now I have stumbled onto a question of whether or not I will be able to put dual projectors in my Acura similar to what fsttyms1 said

I assume you dont have projectors huh? If you look up my post I made a projector retro on mine (03) and I can tell you it made a huge difference. It will give you a sharper cutoff line, so where as regular headlights fade from a difference, this projectors the light out there and is more bright from a distance. I compared my car next to my friends stock TL and you can clearly see the difference. My old retrofit was pretty cheap for retrofits because it took me months to piece the pieces. 50 for broke tab tsx headlight, 65 bucks for another tsx headlight, 120 for two TL headlights, shroud was about 50, i think i totaled it up to be around 450 when all said and done. But piecing it together was the ez part, the retro is the hard part. Putting it inside wasnt hard at all, but making it look oem and getting the cutoff line to align up was such a bitch.

Oh yea, unfortunately, after my stupid tranny died, I decided to trade in my car, i wasnt able to take it out in time so some lucky old guy bought my car. what a waste, could've gotten me bank for it
