I just installed a new passenger side mirror assembly and I ran into an odd problem. I can adjust the new mirror in every direction with the switch, but the final mirror position will not set into memory. If I move the mirror out of position, it will not return to where I set it when I press the memory button. The driver's side mirror works like it always did. Also, when I put the car into reverse, the mirror tilts toward the car instead of tilting toward the ground.

Is there some type of re-learn / reset procedure that I need to do? I didn't see anything in the mirror replacement section of the factory shop manual.

 

Did you buy a new one or one from a salvage yard? Is it possible that it is the unit itself.

 

It's a brand new mirror purchased from Acura a good number of months ago. I didn't have a chance to install it until yesterday.
