Problem with instrument panel
I found out there is a problem with my instrument panel. I brought back to dealer this morning and they just called me to let me know what's going on. Following is my problem and what dealer had been told me.
Problem:
When I drive with headlights on for about 15 mintues, the VSA warning icon will slightly lights up. (Just little bit glowing behind it.) The longer I drive, the brighter it will gets. However, it is not as bright as you turn VSA off.
Dealer said:
After they checked, there is nothing wrong with it. It seems like caused by the lights behind the dash. If that is the case, there is nothing we (the dealer) can do about it.
Guys, do you have the same problem as well? What should I do since the dealer can not do anything about it.

I've read of other people noticing this, but my car doesn't seem to do it. It's fully understandable if some "leakage" of light occurs from another indicator to the VSA indicator, but it shouldn't vary in brightness based on the duration of the drive. Very strange...
Not that it really helps your problem much, but I don't have that problem with my panel; or at least it doesn't stand out so much that I might notice it.
I had a minor problem with my panel--there was some cloudy residue between the clear plastic panel and the gauge bezel. Dealer thought it might have been caused by my overspraying too much Armor-All; I told him that I didn't--besides, the dash looks just as dull as it did when I first bought it. Anyways, they did replace the entire cluster.
My point is that you should stress your observation that the VSA lamp gets brighter as time goes by--if anything, it may possibly indicate some shoddy wiring.

Thanks for your reply guys. At least I know I am not the only one who have this problem.
I'll talk to the service manager tomorrow regarding this issue; or just let him know what kind of answer I got from his guy.

This has been discussed before. If you have the dash illumination up all the way, the light will "bleed through" the darkened VSA light and look like it is slightly lit (especially at the bottom). It is most pronounced when the gas gauge reads approx 3/4 full as the needle points right at the VSA light and exaggerates the problem further. This is a design problem, not a defect and the only real "fix" is to turn down the illumination on the dash lighting. You can't make it go away completely, just alleviate it some. My car does the exact same thing.
As for the brightening over time, best guess is it is probably not--just an illusion. As your night vision gets used to the darkened interior of the car, lights in the cockpit will appear brighter and subtle differences like that are more noticeable. This is just a function of your eyes, not the car.
