problem with gage... need help!
I am having some problems with my TL's gage. The part where the outside temp, kilometers, and the SS mode won't light up anymore. It still works, but it is extremely hard to see in the morning and imposible to see at night.
what is wrong? anyone know how to fix it?

it seems like the 4 bulbs are broken. but that can't be because the chances of all 4 bulbs blowing is very slim.
I would say maybe some kind of fuse popped or maybe some kind of electrical problem within the gauge unit itself.
either way, you must go to the dealer and see if they will replace it under warranty, that is if you haven't modified your gauges like me.
if all comes to worse and the dealership cannot replace your gauge unit, you must buy one from ebay ~ i seen them go around $100 or so, so the fix isn't that bad. but try the dealers first.

Actually if you want to make your life a whole lot easier when pulling off the big trim piece around the gauges, just remove the 4 nuts bolting the steeting column to the dash. The whole column wont fall and hit the ground so not to worry. It will allow the column to drop low enough however to pull the dash and the cluster straight out. I've done it numerous times while modding the electronics on my TL ( I was an installer for 15 years) so I speak from personal experience.
