Pricing on 02 Type S

Hey Guys, Unfortunately I'm going to be selling my 02 Type S...=( I know, it sucks, don't remind me, but i'm going back to school (ASU) and i'm not gonna be working full time anymore.
So what I need is some help pricing it. It's a 2002 Type S, Satin Silver, Black Marble interior Trim to the Max, 20% Tints all Around, Injen Cold Air Intake, Dual Magnaflow Exhausts, Type S Seat Belts Shoulder Pads, Blue Underbody Neon w/ remote on/off, Viper Alarm w/ Engine Cut-Off and Motion/Proximity Sensor, 4 New Sumi Tires, 2 Original Tires w/ Excellent treads, Original Dual Exhausts (only on for 3 Days), and Original Intake (used for 2 months). about 27500 miles.
Everything is in Excellent Condition including all 4 Tires. What do you guys think?
I was thinking $27000

You should part out the upgrades and sell the car in near stock form. You should have no problem selling the intake, exhaust, alarm, etc. Atleast you'll get a lil something back. Plus, a car in stock form will appeal to the general public, not just the enthusiasts out there. Good luck...

I agree with yield2s on the price.... You may get $24k-$25k if you're lucky... but that's pushing it. $27k is way too high. Especially since you can buy a new one for only a couple of thousand more.

I also agree with Dolefee. You'll make even more money if you bring the car back to stock... then part out your mods. Like asloudasitgets said... you will not see a penny from those mods, no matter how much you spent on them. The only parts that add value are Genuine Acura parts. I'd say sell the car for $23k-$24k, then sell the mods seperately, and you should do OK....

Part out! And you know most of your mods will fly once you post 'em here... Not sure about your location, but in NJ/NY/CA you will probably sell to local buyer.

Please check out the current post ("wrong P/N for 2002 springs" something like dat) I directed the question to TATEWAKI, but I'd like for you to chime in and anyone else who can help as well. Gotta lower this 4x4, fo' real...

27k never. In Ohio the type S are selling for 25k at the dealerships with navi with about thesame miles. I think 21 22k is about what you will get for it. 23k tops

I just dealt on a Subby Sti today. Got them to 1K over MSRP and they offered me 24500 for my TLs. I walked, Like I said, I can get 27+ for it in this area.

Is that 27K in canadian money?? Don't say what your car is worth until you are able to sell it for that much. There is no way in hell that a dealer will pay you $27K US Dollars for your car. Unless you pay about $10K US Dollars more for their car...

If you really can get $27K US Dollars for a 2002 TL-s with 27500 miles, I'll sell you mine for $25K and you can turn around and make a quick $2k profit on it...

Oh god, another expert on the resale values in my area. Your all a bunch of sales men. Keep your day jobs: Here’s some facts:

Ill tell you what, I sold my Last S2000 after owning it for a year and putting 7K mile on it for $34,000. MSRP is $32000. I once bought a 93 del Sol for $13000, drove it for 3 years and put 36000 miles on it, I sold it for $13500. I’ve owned 10 Hondas, and sold them all at very high prices. I traded in my 1st S2000 to the DEALER for $33000, bought it from another 1 year and another 7K miles earlier at MSRP at $32000. I bought my 88 Civic for $3000, drove it for 2 year, put 15K miles on it and sold it for $3500.

I can understand if your are in an area where Honda/Acura resale values are low, but around here they are huge.

Kelly Blue book is a joke on Honda/Acura around here.

PS Open a auto trader ere… Every 02 TLs is listed at $27000+

sounds like you quite the wheeled and dealer, i commend the wise investment. it's still hard for me to relate the s2k in early release, to the TL.
I'll just say, in general it's hard to sell something used for very close if not more than something new.(figuring monthly payment on new auto loan compaired to used)
