you should definitely consider the 01's. i think theyre a good deal now that the 02's are out. not much difference other than the 6 in dash CD changer and memory seats. otehr than the memory seats, you can get a better aftermarket CD changer and buy the clear tail lights.

 

actually, there is a lot of improvements, some of them not obvious to us. i would go for 02.

 

How much difference in price should I expect between an '01 and an '02?

 

The 2002z in Albuquerque and El Paso are selling for sticker 29,998 plus dealer BS charges. The 2001 were 1000 to 1750 off, depending on the color.

I bought the 2002 and probably would have been happy with the 2001. Memory seats for two, 6 cd changers, headlights that face inwards to be easier on oncoming traffic's eyes, passenger side rearview mirrow tilts down when you put the car in reverse to show you the blind spot, something about fog lamps, maybe the 2001 didn't have them, there was something else - there are six new changes.

I have been looking at Type S models for about a month now and haven't had any luck finding one for a good price here in the Tenn area. So, I'm thinking about just getting a regular TL, putting some rims on it and a rear spoiler and calling it done. What have been some of the selling prices for an '02 TL, non-navi?? I believe invoice is right at $27k. My dealer here in Nashville has about 15 '01's left too. Wonder what kind of deal I should be able to get on one of those??
