Post Price Realism

I think MSRP in most locales will be the norm for quite a while. According to my sales rep. only 27% of the 2002 TL are slated to be Type S. Of those, 40% are destined for the southern CA market. Therefore, expect the remaining to be in limited supply. I expect that Acura is going to keep the availability limited to help the hype. They are certainly advertising it more heavily than any of their previous models (TV and Car Mags).

I picked up mine yesterday: 1 of 2 delivered to the dealer. The other vehicle has been sold to a gentleman from Texas who is flying in Saturday to pick it up! Said that the waiting list was too long at his local dealer.

Just got a call from my dealer. Several on the lot with none sold.
Where is that lack of supply?

Yeah, there were two new ones at my dealership since last week. They said they were getting at least four in the next week. And there wasn't really a demand here either.

Yeah,

My dealer has 20 on the lot, and only 8 spoken for from a previous wait list. Kinda takes the edge of pickin' it up from the dealer to know that the car isn't "that" rare!

Cool

Peter, which dealer did you go to...Continental? I received an invite via e-mail from Rizza Acura for a test drive. But if they're not willing to deal, then I can wait until they do.

OK
show me a sales contract where someone has paid below MSRP for a TL Type S because there is no demand and the dealer needs to unload
