That’s a interesting way to put it but yeah if you’re are not a do it your selfer then have a mechanic fix it. The re-circ valve motor has a gear in it that the teeth wear off on one side. You could take it apart and flip that gear 180 degrees if you know what you’re doing

Shouldn't the recirculation control motor be replaced?
There are three types of air mix control motors, mode control motors and recirculation control motors.

oops, yes you are right; it's the recirc motor but i also forgot to mention both of those motors are identical and so the fix applies to both.
