im about to go check out a used car in coachella valley and i wanna give the car a check up before i buy it.
i will of course give the car my own checkup (http://autos.msn.com/advice/articles/aischecklist.aspx)
but i was wondering..when i take it to the shop what should i have them check?
i gave some shops in coachella a call. one said theyd do a complete diganostics and inspection for $100 but it seemed like a bit much. another shop i called didnt really have a set list of things to check for. rather, he just asked me what i wanted to get checked up..so i said definitely the transmission and he said transmission scans were $60.
what else should i have them check? or should i just go with the first shop and get a complete checkup for $100?
