Power Windows Issue - searched everywhere, no luck :(
Hi Guys, (sorry for the long post - you can skip to 'The Issue' if you want)
So I'm quite active on AZ and love this site; not to mention I'm an Acura Enthusiast myself!! I just haven't been real active on the forum as far as uploading pics, posting etc. Im gonna start doing that soon.
A little background:
So I've had a 2002 Acura TL Type S since 2010 which I love! It has 158k miles on it now. Went through 2 trannies LOL Back in Jan 2014, the power windows just suddently stopped working. At the same time i was in the market for an 07 or 08 Type S so just my luck, i found a deal in my area for a 07 TL S WDP 83K for $17k. Picked that up and been driving it since. I've done some mods to it (will post pics soon) so that's my daily driver now.
The Issue:
Now for the 02 TL-S, ever since the windows stopped working in Jan, i parked it in my garage and kept driving the 07. My inner conscious finally started bothering me last week and i need to sell the 02! but before that, i want to get the windows fixed. Here's what's going on and what i've done:
All 4 windows stopped working AT ONCE. one day, i rolled the driver's window down and it never came back up since. When i hit the power window switch for each window, i hear a 'zapping' sound but nothing happens.
1 My mechanic buddy checked all relays and didn't find anything wrong with them.
1 We also replaced the master window switch unit thinking it was the culprit but the new switch didn't work either.
I've looked everywhere and cannot find anything else to troubleshoot/look into. I know its not the window regulator since ALL 4 windows stopped working AT ONCE. My mechanic guy talked to his buddy who suggested i replace the multiplexer unit (located on passenger side) but per my research, it seems like the multiplexer unit deals with the power locks, NOT windows? (correct me if Im wrong).
This morning, I took the car to the ACURA dealership to drop it off for diagnostics ($125). but they didn't have any loaners so i've made an appointment for next week but as I was driving to work, I thought maybe i should create a new post to get some help/thoughts from the AZ gurus and experts I hope i can get some pointers to have this fixed on my own without some ridiculous $500+ bill from ACURA.
Your help is much appreciated. Thanks Guys!!!

Oh.. and just to add:
1. All electronics/lights inside (including sunroof) work fine.
2. There's no drainage on the battery (Car was parked for 2-3 weeks, still started up fine without any jump)
Thanks!!!

Check all the wires going to the window controller unit, especially the +12V power and ground wires.
It happened to me that the +12V wire was getting intermittent +12V, and so I had to rewire a new +12V from the passenger side fuse box all the way to the window controller connector.

Anyone else has any other suggestions?

Pull the panel, check for power at the window motor.
Ya could also try jumpering 12v to the motor bypassing the switch and other stuff.
