Power Steering Moan!

i have a 99 TL and i noticed a Slight moan...so i checked the fluid and it was to full. So i took some out and put in the Lucas Power steering additive in the pump and now it seems louder. any ideas on what else i can do? i checked the prices for a pump and they are high!! about $260!!! so i wanted to find another way to solve this problem with out replacement if i can find another way around it.

if i were you, i'd try flushing the entire power steering system. get rid of all of your old fluid and fill with new fluid. that should take care of the problem.

the problem is the return line is sucking air and creates a moan or loud whine type of noise.replace the o ring on the pump and you should be fine.

You can use any power steering fluid but it must say "For Honda". I myself don't like additives.

well i didnbt know that there was a special fluid. but i read the owners manual and it said DO NOT USE ATF. which the lucas power steering fluid is made mostly of atf. so i bought 5 bottles of HONDA psf, got out as much of the old fluild that i could and put back the right fluid. now it is WAY quieter then before but still a slight noise, but i expect moving parts to make some noise...thanks everybody!!
