power steering fluid

I was checking fluids this morning, and noticed that with the engine running, there were bubbles, or the fluid in the power steering res was bubbling, or churning. With the engine off the fluid is at the high/max fluid level it stays there with engine running, and almost looks as if someone is blowing air into top of reservoir.

What could it be, I have searched, and only came back with a post about draining/bleeding/refilling ps fluid.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Is there any problem with your steering? Is there any leak? Little bubbles are normal. If there are excessive bubbles, there may be leak or pinholes in the hose. Do full turns of Left then Right and check the fluid again for bubbles.

no problem with steering, but I have never seen this in any other vehicle I have had, and just wondered if there could be some problem lurking.

do the air burping as suggested by turning the wheels back and forth
There could be a loose clamp at the hose fittings allowing air in.
