About a week ago i noticed that my 2000 TL was making a weird noise, and guess what it was my powersteering pump cavitating b/c there was no fluid in the reservoir. The leak is coming from the front right side (when your sitting in the car) and fluid leaks out only when you turn left. Its actually more like a flowing stream than a leak, i don't believe its a seal, i think its the right cylinder but i'm not sure i've never had any experience or problems with powersteering in any of my vehicles. I took it to the dealership yesterday, and they were convinced that it was a seal and they told me that i would have it back the next day (today) well today is here and i haven't even gotten a call from them, and i'm driving around in a base model sunfire and i want my car back! I dont even know how this damage could have accured, i even crawled under it and had my mom turn the wheel to the right to see if i could find out where the leak was coming from. the inside of the right tire, wheel and suspension components are covered in hydraulic fluid, yippee. I can see the stream of fluid bouncing off other parts of the car and dripping into my driveway, but its so far up inside that i can't see where it is starting from. the dealership warned me that if any evidence pointing towards me damaging it i will have to pay for it even though its covered under warranty, (i.e, me bottoming the car out). but as i look at the underside of the car, there is no marks on anything showing that it was bottomed out, and even if it was, the damage is so high up inside the car that i would have to go though like 8 inches of car to be able to damage those parts. so i am lost in what could have caused this, and i plan on calling the dealership tomorrow. any thoughts would help.
