power seats

I think it is awesome how you can set your key remote to link with your memory seats. Is there a way to mod it so that when you open the door the seat moves to memory 1 and when you close it it movies to memory 2? Like what I'm trying to do is when i open the door, the seat will slide back and allow me to get in easily, and then when i close the door, it will move back up to normal driving position . Hehe can it even be done.

Basically you want what the Infiniti I35 and G35 offer the driver when entering/exiting...yeah that would be a cool mod for the TL!

Yeah, it would be a good idea unless you are 6'2" like I am, and leave the seat in the full back position at all times... But yeah, it would probably be a better automatic feature than the stupid right side mirror moving down when you put it in reverse. I can see that mirror motor wearing out especially in cold/icy weather... and I'd rather see the car behind or beside me while backing. I guess it's supposed to be a safety feature to help keep you from hitting some kid on a tricycle or something... but I'm not sure if it's a help or a hinderance?

Well I guess the mirror rolling down is suppose to be a safety feature, too bad i haven't really been using it...although it is quite thoughtful in my opinion. When I first saw that happen actually, i thought it was brocken...

Its to help you in parallel parking. I used it many a times and kinda miss it in other cars I've driven since then. As for fear of it wearing out, just dont leave the notch in the center and it should solve your problem.

Never thought of that...

I guess it could help to see the curb while parallel parking. Maybe it's not such a bad idea afterall...

Thanks for enlightening me!

NP...Trust me...you do not want to be in the scratched rims club. The tilting mirror is especially helpfull when you get new rims.
