Pot Holes

How's it going??
I live in RI, and we have had a bad winter so far. I recently slammed into a pretty bad pot hole, giving me a bubble. My question is there anyway that I can get the state to pay for a new tire??

Any experience/ storys will help.
Thanks

so many potholes in my area.
they are huge. the street in front of my house has a 1-foot deep pothole!! i think the car will get stuck literally if it hits it. i hope they fix that soon. But there are so many potholes and nasty one too. Definitely wont take my car out at nite.
As for the state paying for a new tire? I doubt it. I mean how many cars are driving by that road and hit the same potholes!
Just becarefully next time.

Did you check to see if your tires have road hazzard? If so, then you will only have to pay the pro-rated adjustment for tire wear. Better somethin' then nothin'.

Same thing happened to me. I went to a used tire shop and got mine replaced for $45. I dont know if they will reimburse it AFTER it happened. Maybe if you write them a letter, give them ample time, and if it happens...THEN. Or so at least I heard. Very hard thing to do.

JL6267 where in RI are you from? I pass through Ri from time to time. Do you have any mods on your whip?

I hate pot holes. Saturday night I was the good girlfriend and drove when we went out. My boyfriend tried to kiss me as I was driving, and I turned to him for a split second and hit a HUGE pot hole. I pulled over and was almost in tears...my poor baby...*uck the kiss!! But my TL survived it, thank god! (She's a real trooper!)
