Post Ya Grillzz...

I'm planning on getting a new grill, but I wanted to see what looks good on your guys' cars first before I buy one. I'm not sure If I should spend the money to cover the upper, lower, and the fogs. Or should I just do the Upper and lower. Or maybe just do the upper since it's only $30.

So is it not worth the $30 then? Is there like alot of modifying to the car itself to make it fit?

This is the same gutter guard from Home Depot, I painted it gloss black. I think black will look good on your SSM with the black wheels.

You have to make sure you take out the bar in the middle and the part that sticks out to hold on the (A) logo. It sticks out too much and if you look from the side you can see where the thing is. This is an old picture before I cut it out and painted it black and you can kind of see the bar behind it. I just used a Dremel blade to cut out most of the stuff, then a sander bit to smooth everything out.

in my opinion all those chomed mesh grills look like ass. very RICER aka tacky. the only grill ive seen that looks good on the 99-01 TL is the stock one. even one with just black mesh looks weird, too much open space. i saw someone who color matched the chrome parts of the stock grill, and i thought that looked pretty good. and please pleaseee dont put mesh on the lower grill

then again, its your car not mine.

wait, so what did you do?

the gutter guard thing takes lil practice, they come in a 6 pack and i ran through about 3 until i got it perfect. you really got to line up the gaps and the screws right.

Did actually throw the gutter guard away, just gave up. I might try it again later this afternoon. I got 3 of those black knobs off, they are the ones that hold the bottom of the grille on, but I can't get the other top 2 off...

I just got back to the custom grille job with the gutter guard and looks awesome...I didn't even both opening up the grille to sandwich the dang thing in there. I just cut out precise pieces for above and below the acura logo and that chrome bar...and very precise even though I just eyeballed it...then I spray painted it twice over with the ssm paint that I got as touch up paint and then fastened it on to the grille...It looks so cool. It looks stock even from real close up. I will have pictures for it on Friday or Saturday when I get my calipers painted red and the new 18's on...

yeah its grille tech... it fits perfectly and is real easy to do just zip tie it over the factory grille... adds a nice touch .. black would be a nice, subtle touch i chose silver so its looks a little further from stock though... id say def overpriced for wut they sent me

The mesh grill doesn't sit flat, it is in shape of a V hence the A logo will need to build out to sit in the middle of the grill. I think it will look funny if the A was mounted to one side. Originally, I didn't add the Acura badging but the gill just looks empty.
