is it possible to stop racking up Km's ?

If I were to unplug my speedo cluster.....would it stop adding km's ? The reason I ask is because as long as I have less then the 160k (canada), my tranny should be covered if it ever fails....right now I have 129 000 kilometers on it.

i think the ECU or some other chip in the car keeps track of everything. such as when you go to the dealer and they run diagnostics tests with a computer, itll tell how many miles the car has

That's the equivalent of proposing that unplugging the cameras in the bank will let you get away with it.

On other cars you can dissconnect the speed sensor on the tranny. I don't know how the it would work on the TL since the miles are digital.

If they find that you've attempted to hide mileage on your vehicle (and there are may ways to find out) they will probably void the warranty.

Do the right thing and be honest!

Closed due to legalities. Downright shady to alter odometer -- I'm sure there are laws against this (ie similar to a used car dealership rolling back KM to increase value of a car)
