porting polishing engine dressup

Anyone know of places that do porting or smoothing out of metal components like manifolds and stuff like that also polishing to outside of engine components?

DPR does it that in la somewhere... but i dont know where you are located...

There is a company called extrude honed. I e-mailed them about a year ago. They run a media through the intake that is abrasive that smoothes out the intake ports. This is a copy of the letter I got from them the prices may have changed. They also do heads as well.

Thank you for your recent inquiry. Rick Miller says the cost to have a V-6 intake processed is $585.00 plus shipping, a 4 cylinder is $395.00 plus shipping. The cost for V-6 cylinder heads is $700.00 per pair, plus shipping and the cost for 4 cylinder heads is $585.00 plus
shipping.

That seems steep since a company will port and polish for far less. This process seems like it just evens the surface which seems to me like the polish aspect of porting and polish. I am not looking to port but if its cheaper to do both I guess I would. Any feedback?

I wonder if they have to shave the heads after they come off the car or even have the block re-decked.
