Take what KBB gives you, and add half the cost of the mods you've done. I bet that'll get you in the ballpark. 2 dealers I've spoken to quoted KBB to the dollar for my '00 with 97K miles.

Just my $.02, but it looks like with all of those mods you have really narrowed who you can sell the car to. You might be better off putting some of the stock stuff back on. I mean 10000K hids are illegal, the Inspire badging would turn some people off, etc. It looks like a nice car. Good luck with the sale.

i would be able to put hids back and badging but there is alot of irreverssible things done to the car, retail value of KBB is 18500, half the dollar amount in mods is about $7000, giving me a price of about $25,500, that would be enough to pay off car, and put a down payment on an 04, but where can i sell this thing for that much?? ebay?? lol

I thought there were 3 levels to KBB: trade-in, higher private party, then even higher retail (what a DEALER could get for it).

I think your number will be somewhere between those two, then add the mods. I'm hoping 50% wasn't too high. The more custom the work is, the less attractive to a large number of buyers just looking for a TL.

I think 50% may be too high for some of the accessories. Most people may like the fact there are video monitors but aren't going to pay extra for it. Same with (and especially) the wheels, etc. Those are really a personalized preference that I would expect not to get too much of a payback on. The performance mods are fine too but most people won't pay for that and may actually shy away from it because of reliability reasons. So those could end up being a negative. You'll need to find a buyer who values these mods (and is willing to pay for them) and that may be tough to do.

You might be better off parting out what you can. In this case, the parts are probably worth more than the sum of the parts. And again, good luck.

I suggest parting the car out. You will get a broader range of people to sell the car to and second you will get more money if selling each individual aftermarket part. I always believed that if someone hooked up their cars, it will loose more value than gain. Good Luck

A agree. It's an awesome car but you rarely get what you put into the car mod wise (rarely even half). And like Phins2rt said, you really narrow the market of buyers down when you mod your car. That is why I turned my car back to stock before selling it. And certain mods can scare people off because they think/know you've been beating on it i.e. s.c And yes, parting the car out especially on this site gives you extra money back that otherwise you probably wouldn't selling the car with the mods.

I had mine on Ebay posted twice and there were just too many TL's on there, even now there are like 100. So I went with Autotrader for $50 till it sells and Cars.com $50 till it sells. Within a week it had sold with a lot of people inquiring. Best $100 I ever spent. Beware of Spammers on those sites though saying they have a client that wants the car etc. I had a dude send me a bogus check for $9k when I was asking $21k for my car. Anyway, I hope you get what you want for it

Since you decided on a price, go post it up in the Black Market.
