Pink HID's
hey guys, my hids turned a weird pink color and i am planning on getting new ones. i wanted to know are mitec good or kaixen? im plannin on doing 8500K and trying to find a set of fog lights to match them, let me know thanks.
If I were you I would stick with Philips bulbs and you shouldn't get anything higher than 6000K. Anything higher will be a bit dangerous out on the road. They may look good to you but they produce less usable light out on the road. Our cars come with 4300K, it is the brightest and whitest light HIDs can provide. If you want them to look a bit blue, go ahead and get the 6000Ks, anything higher you will be downgrading by a lot.
^ i had 8000, look beautiful but u cant see shit. unless you plan on removing the reflecting glass inside your headlight assembly, dont go higher than 6000.
and is it true that 6000 is stronger than 4300. i dont believe so but someone in my class told me.

Stick to 6000K or 4300K Philips. Don't go higher than that. Just asking for trouble.
Do something fast to get rid of the pink or else people may have thoughts of:

I think it's been established that 4300k produces the maximum usable light...someone correct me if i'm wrong

I believe the Philips bulbs are actually 4100K out the box and then slowly get to 4300K after the 100 hour color shift. Yes, 4100-4300K is the MOST USEABLE light on the ground. 6000K light looks the nicest to the eye when driving toward a car that has them in...my

Get some soon though, mine were pink and the next day they were out. I bought kaixen 6000k and I honestly think it's brighter than the 4300k stock bulbs. I bought mine from www.automotivelightingusa.com and picked them up cause they are local. Honestly get 6000k you'll be pleased.

6000K gives you less light output 4300K but the payoff is they look bluer, which looks great. I love the look they give the road, and its fun to travel in a group of cars w/o HIDs at night and see how much better the 6000K's look. I've driven a friends car who has some 8500K's and they have less light output then my 6000Ks, but still more than any halogens I've driven. I'd say go 6000K, but its totally up to you

I'd go with jdm yellow. I bought some aftermarket fogs, and got the nokya jdm yellows, and if yu like that kinda look, like I do, then that's the route you should take.
Unless you get an HID kit you're really not going to be able to get the fogs to match your headlights.
