i think these make the yellow bulb look, compared to 3000k hid's where the ground is more yellow than the bulb...
read up some reviews on those yellow bulbs if there what your looking for...

Your friend is probably mistaking the output of 3000k hids with that of yellow halogen bulbs. The lights that make the housing glow piss yellow are halogens. 3000k hids make the housing glow a white with yellow tint, but the reflection on the road is a very bright yellow. The yellow halogens are commonly found on some older lexus models.
I have PIAA yellow halogens and ddm 3000k hids; the hids are much brighter but the halogens are still pretty nice...

You could do that with hids to get a similar glow to the halogens... I personally don't like the yellow fog look unless it's the yellow bulb itself that's reflecting off the housing

I had that looks your boy is lookin for, the bulbs just dont do, u need the whole lens to be yellow as well, some people are iffy, but it definitely looks way more yellow.....

I personally wouldn't rock the the yellow vinyl over the lense because I'm afraid that the HID will burn the vinyl. My housing already gets hot enough to the touch, don't want anything getting messed up because of the vinyl. I know on the 3G side Accuratein is actually running yellow vinyl on his lowbeams, but the lowbeams produce little heat.

I like the yellow vinyl look, but I dunno lol
I wanted to get the headlight overlays from rvinyl but isn't that a bit ricey?
i dunno, I guess I've just never seen it on anything except STCC and JTCC cars...and then you'd need a bright painted lip and lip matched rims! (which would be hot...)

guys.. please dont do the yellow vinyl overlay.. it just kills the look of our cars and it's not clean imo..
if you guys really want the deep yellow look.. go for halogen bulbs (not as bright as HIDs but if that's the look you are going for then dew it!). get the nokya 2500k halogen bulbs or even the luminics 3000k produce a pretty deep yellow..
hids are meant to be bright so that's why it comes out piss yellow. mine is the same.. running ddmtuning apexcone 3000k 35w hid kit and from far away.. they look white but they shine yellow on the floor.
another alternative is to purchase color caps (just like how lexus has their deep ass yellow on their stock 2nd gen GS, 1st gen IS, etc.)

The stock bulbs are only 16watts so upgrading to Nokya 55watt 2500K yellow halogens or 3000k k HID's wil defenitely yield more light but best of all "more usable" light for the application they were ment to do. Im on the fene to do do HID's in my 3gd gen fogs because the'll be great for me ye but 4 hid's glaring at oncoming traffic would be down right offensive and disrespectful to the fellow drivers on the road.

Tat pic ^^^ is why I wouldnt do HID's in fogs. They are even brighter than Low Beams. Good for driver maybe but not for oncoming traffic. Ever had a camera flash temp blind you. Very bright headlights do the same. To not be able to see whats ahead of you for seconds scares you.

and it doesnt blind people at night lol.. i purposely aimed them on the floor (that's what foglights are for in the first place). but it is pretty bright when you look from the side. but looking directly into it at night doesn't hurt your eyes.

lol.. you see more glare than my low beams cause i took off the glare shield in the foglight housing.. did so when i replaced my lense with lexan lense. i had halogens at the time and it made the light output better. too bad i couldn't go back, unseal, and put the shield back on, and reshield.

^ yea youd have to actually break the glass cover of the foglight in order to get to the glare shield but dont do that if your foglights are still in good condition. my hid fogs are also brighter than my headlights because i took off the glare shield, light output is good but im not sure hows the glare for others at night

I had yelow over lay and loved it, but I wanted a cleaner look so I took that off and installed 3000K HIDs, and then found some 2500K bulbs and ran those for awhile. Sorry no pics as my car was totaled. I will say I loved the HID headlights and HID yellow fog set up.

yeah i would go back if i could. my buddy has the same setup as me before. 4300k low and 3000k fogs and they were the same exact kit from ddm, cept his were a deeper yellow only cause his glare shield was on.
