So on my way to work this morning i see a black 02-03. Im thinking awesome i finally have someone to meet with, had oem kit and everything. I speed up to catch up with it and i look over and its a 50 year old lady, WTF.

one day last year i was driving in southern indiana and i saw a 99-01 he was following me i think it was LGM or something like that? it's the color fsttyms1 has. and i finally stop at a red light, the guy pulls up next to me and rolls the window down, he's like 50 years old too, and asks, "where'd you git dem pipes?" (referring to my exhaust). i started laughing. the end

 

it just threw me off with the kit and spoiler.

Old lady cars are the epitome of great buys. Even if the paint is off a bit they are insane about maintenance. The midlife or older woman is the best caretaker of a car you can find, if they have the right mindset. They are organized and usually have all the car's records.

i've seen the Type S loaded with kit and spoiler many times with older men/women driving them..

that made me realize i drove a car most people wouldnt take a second look at normally.
it gives you a sense of pride.

its actually an everyday occurrence....
he could have waved to her,signaling that her car is awesome too! but he saw that it was an older lady and didnt think she would appreciate her car.

I'm sure she knows her car is different with the lip kit, and would appreciate the honks, the thumbs up, the waves just like we do.

 

there are so many stock tl's around here in my city.. all of them are middle to old aged people. i'm the only modded tl in my city =/ .. i wish i've seen more.

but yeah .. i see old men and women driving pretty clean 2g's with either the spoiler or oem lip kit. They know how to maintain.

 

Exactly true. My mom's Passat gets detailed by a professional detailer every 4 months, second Friday of the month. Any little noise or maintenance light is taken care of that day. Oil is changed within 50 miles of scheduled mileage. I'm starting to think that that car will outlive me.

 

Yesterday night, I was driving from North Carolina to Jersey. Was following a 99-01 with lip kit and spoiler. Car wasn't dropped but I think had some aftermarket rims. I followed it for about 2-3 hours. (Might as well follow, keeps me awake for that 10 hour drive). I had to get gas so I stopped following.

 

old people like to buy fully loaded cars, which includes all the options. Look at the new camry's with the full lip kit. its actually one of the cars i'm considering after I sell my car. yeah its a camry but its smooooth

 

One of my customers (60+) was telling me about how she loves to drive her TL-S fast and pass other cars at 90+ then she said it wasent nothing compared to her C6

 

didnt no when i bought it but the tl is a chick car! 80% of the time I see a TL, expecially the 3g's and 4 g's a middle aged lady is driving. usually you only see guys in the type s models
