Tell them you want mud flaps and wheel locks for free. Tell them you want free floor mats. You also want to know if the Navi can play video games. That would be cool.
Make sure they didn't tamper with the mileage indicator i.e. roll it back to make it look like it has less mileage.
Check for bondo on the paint.
Make sure it doesn't "Crab" down the road. Have someone drive off and watch it from behind. Is the frame bent? Maybe it was in a bad wreck. You never know.
Also, look at the seats, brake pedal, shifter, and steering wheel? Notice anything there unusual? Look for signs of wear on these spots.
Also look to see if there are any strange smells inside. Marijuana? Booze?
Sometimes the cleaning guy will toke it up while he's cleaning.
Ask about a free extended warranty and factory to dealer incentives. They should just write you a check on the spot for these things.
Open the trunk and scan it for dust mites. You'll need a special helmet for this. They'll know what you're talking about. Trust me with this one.
Also check underneath the car and look for any unusual packages taped or secured to the undercarriage. Sometimes they will use you as a "Mule" for contraband. You could get arrested for something you had absolutely nothing to do with.
Also check out the voice on the NAVI. Is it Greek? If so, tell them you want you don't understand Greek and want it to the suitable language you do understand.
These are just a few things I did when I bought my car. You'll thank me.
