Post Piaa superwhite, Razo pure white, Hiper plazma or what?

Man, there are so many different kind of HID lookalike bulbs out there and I don't know which one to get. Damn, more decisions.

Cool

I have the Heliolite and the Hiper plazma, but i hear you i have tried so many of them out it's unbelieveable. I like the Heliolites because they are $25 each and they look the closest to HID's. I have the Hipers in my fogs and they are bright as hell, they are also white not too purple...The Razo's burn out really fast, so i'd stay away from those.....

Hmmm....so I guess i'll try the Hipers out. I not only want them to look like HID, i also want them to be bright too. At least i know the Hipers are cheaper than the Piaas.

PIAA's are nice and they last a long time, but they are not bright at all. maybe because they are only 55/60 watts i think to make they DOT certified...Who cares about DOT certification for a light bulb???

i think the 2000 and up TL's HID sucks. (at least the one on mine)

when ijust turn it on, it's sooooo Bright... WHITE and little blue... that's how it looks on other HID cars.. like audi...
then 5 seconds later, my turns to kinda yellowish... that sux.

AcuraTL,
Yep they have 9006 Piaa super plasma bulbs. Too bad it's not available in North America. Only the H-4's are available here. But there is a site in Vancouver, Canada that sells it. It's expensive though cause they import it from Japan. The plasma's look exactly like BMW's HID system, so there is going to be a little bit of blue in it. Here is the addy, hope this helps you!

riceboy_TL,
I heard that the newer cars nowadays come with a HID system that is less intense than the first generation HID systems, such as BMW, MB, Audi... that is why the newer HID systems are closer the the "white" color. They say the one's with color in it, ex. BMW are too blinding.

Well, I got the Razo premium white. I gotta say they look pretty good, it makes the stocks look yellow. Now, I need to find some 9006 in ion crystal for my fogs.

I had a choice to get either the Razo or the Piaa Xtreme plazma, but the Piaa cost $50 more. The guy at the store said they both should last about the same, approximately 2 years.

Although my car is a Civic (2000) I thought i might tell you about my lighting in the car.initially I upgraded the car with PIAA 80/80 superwhites, this was alright for some time but i drive alot at nite and on country roads. Then i found the CATZ ZETA system and added it to the car along with factory fog lights.Wow after I installed it into the car we compared it to a brand new Acura 3.5 RL with H.I.D. lighting and a similar reflector setup,at nite parked side by side the two systems were for all intents and purposes identical.Granted this was not scientific test but having driven new Acuras at nite with H.I.D. lighting and then my own it is so close the difference is barely noticeable.

Snook, go get the Razo premium white. When I went to pick up my wife in the MDX last night, she said "I thought the MDX didnt' come with HID". It looks very close to the TL's HID.

That's what I am trying to do also. Yellow for my fogs. But only a few companies make 9006 in ion crystal yellow. I know PIAA makes them but only in Japan.

I had PIAA's Super Plasma Bulb (60/55w >130/110w) installed and it looks alot like Xenons of BMW. It has a purplish-blue color that really stands apart from the crowd. The lights ran me $120 installed. But, what I'm looking for now are rear lights that are set up like those on the Lexus IS300. Can anyone help me?
