petition?

Anyone besides me find it really f***ing irratating after you just spent a good portion of your day washing and drying your car to have someone's sprinkler which is pointed all out into the road to completely re-cover your car in water? That is just one thing that I can't seem to get over... It should be illegal!

Yeah, I agree...it's happened to me a couple times. I don't understand why the person is trying to water the street anyway. I am very particular, as I am sure most of the people on this forum are, about my car and once I wash you better be careful where you touch. I show people where to touch the car when the open or close the door if it's their first time in my car. The exception of course is my gf. She knows how I am and remembers most of the time but it's not worth getting into an argument over a fingerprint that I can wipe off with the microfiber towel I keep in the trunk.

People are really this anal about their vehicles? Telling people where they are to touch when they open and close the doors? That's a bit extreme.

I know...people have told me that but that's just the way I am. It's not all the time, just after I wash it. I try to keep it clean as long as possible but once it starts getting dirty I don't mind so much. I have a couple friends that are the same way...one of them is worse than I am. He has an '05 G35 and it's a beautiful car...and he is very anal about the cleanliness and condition of it.

Cars get dirty. It's just the way it is.

I never understood why people got pissed about their cars getting dirty after washing it. As much of a detail freak as I am, I wash my car because it's dirty and needs a wash -- not to keep it clean. It's impossible.

Just offering my perspective on the issue. Besides, it's just water. It's not like someone jumped on your car shit all over it.

My gf deliberately pushes on the glass to close my door cuz she says my car shocks her when in reality its her staticy clothes. Grrrrrr.... one of these days, I'm gonna be found dead, and they're gonna nail her CSI-style with those fingerprints on my car. haha.

Yep...it's a hobby I guess. And you would know first hand to eric...driving 4 hours to go to a meet and cleaning it in the parking lot of the hotel. Maybe it is an obsession.
I don't mind it being dirty but I would rather it wasn't. And if I wash it, of course I want it to stay clean for as long as possible. I wash my car because I want it to look good when it's done. I don't understand why someone with such a nice car wouldn't want to wash it and keep it clean...just my opinion though. I wash my car once a week and wax it once a month. And yes it is definitely relaxing for me. Listening to some music and cleaning my car...what's better??!!

I never have to wash mine, Nalley Acura does. They wash it when it's in for service, and with all its minor problems, it doesn't have time to get really dirty before it's back to the dealer.

If they didn't wash it, I'd be too disgusted by the problems to care.

I found a car wash that will give me a 72 hour clean car guarantee. Works real well. No matter what happens even if a bird craps on it, I can take it back for a re-wash.

Do you get another 72-hour guarantee after a re-wash?

I would just keep going back every 71 hours.
