perhaps another stupid question

this may just seem stupid, but what is the difference between getting springs and coilover. do coilovers just lower the cars height while springs change the ride quality?

There is only 1 major difference: adjustability for the coilovers. You can lower or raise the coilover whenever you feel like it. With springs, it already comes at a preset drop and you can't do anything about it.

BTW, ride quality will suffer with either one (but it's not that bad).

thanks. but here is another question on the lowering part with coilover.

when you drop it, at what drop is it a good idea to adjust your camber

The question not asked is the stupid question.

I think you should just get the camber adjusted at whatever drop you do.
